Prayer & Fasting
January 7-27, 2024
Every January and August, we set aside 21 days to intentionally seek God in prayer and believe for Him to move in powerful ways.
Each day, we gather for a one-hour prayer experience, including worship, personal prayer time, and corporate prayer.
Whether you join us in person or online, we would love for you to take part in 21 Days of Prayer.
Service Times
Weekdays | 6:30 pm
Saturday | 9:00 am
Sunday | 10:15 am
New Life will be open for you and your family to join us for a time of worship, prayer, and a Word from God led by one of our leadership team.
Why We Do It
21 Days of Prayer and Fasting is a special time for our church to join together in unity through prayer and fasting. In every situation, whether good or bad, we try to pray before we act. Prayer should be our first response, not our last resort.
These 21 days are an intentional time to combine the practice of fasting with prayer to help minimize natural distractions and hear the voice of God more clearly.
Daily Devotionals
Keeping A Clear Conscience
A clear conscience is not about trying to look perfect in front of people—it’s about staying honest and open before God. This is key so our developing awe and reverence toward Him continues to grow. The Holy Spirit speaks to the life of the son (Christ) that He is...
Our Value
We must fear God out of love, not love Him out of fear. Jesus makes a statement that can feel startling at first: “Fear God… yes, I say to you, fear Him” (Luke 12:5). But before fear can turn into misunderstanding, He immediately follows with something just as...
The Glory of God
“Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting… And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability…...
Beholding Him
Scripture says, “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; His greatness is unsearchable” (Psalm 145:3). That means no one can fully measure, explain, or contain the greatness of God. His glory has no limits. His wisdom has no boundaries. His majesty is beyond...
God’s Tangible Presence
Scripture: “God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be held in reverence by all those around Him.” — Psalms 89:7 Most misunderstand the fear of God. They think fear means dread or distance. But holy fear is not something that drives us away...
What Is Holy Fear?
cripture: “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.” — Hebrews 12:28–29 Holy fear is often misunderstood. Many think it...
Are You Passing the Test?
“Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.” — Exodus 20:20 There are two very different kinds of fear: the spirit of fear and the fear of the Lord. One drives us away from God, while the other draws us...
What God Treasures in Us
The fear of the Lord is God’s greatest treasure and virtue we can pursue and apprehend. It is the key to a fulfilled, successful, and meaningful life. It is described as the foundation of wisdom, character, protection, provision, and true happiness. King Solomon...
Holiness or Hardness
Holiness, our willingness to be separated to and for God is revealed through surrendered worship that gives birth to true intercession, while hardness toward God is exposed when we reduce prayer to emotion, routine, or personal agenda. As declared in Isaiah 59:16, God...
The Pattern of Surrender
Surrender follows a divine pattern. First, there is singleness with God—He becomes our source, our first love, and our full devotion. Then surrender expresses itself in covenant relationships, where our love for others reflects our honor for Him. Finally, faith...
Surrender Is the Beginning
Surrender is not an action we visit occasionally—it is the attitude that keeps us aligned, joined, and alive in God. Living for Jesus is not behavior modification; it is a posture of the heart. Faith does not begin where things make sense—it begins where we yield....
Where Misalignment Begins
We pull apart what God has joined together when we come into agreement with anything other than His Spirit. Separation does not begin outwardly—it begins in the heart. It starts when we choose understanding over trust, self-will over surrender, and knowledge over...
Where True Influence Comes From
Faith does not begin with clarity—it begins with surrender. 2 Timothy 4:1–3 reminds us that the call is not to understand everything, but to stand and proclaim the Word—whether it is convenient or not—anchored in the Spirit, with patience, wisdom, and unwavering...
What Separates What God Has Joined?
Question: How does man separate what God has joined together? Humanity—both man and woman—lives at the intersection of continual choice. At every moment, we are yielding to one of two sources: God… or mammon (self-will, the spirit of covetousness). We are either...
Where Awe Is Missing
The awe of God begins in a place of singleness with Him—where He alone is our source, our focus, our first love as sons and daughters. But it doesn’t stay there. That awe draws us into covenant, where He joins us together, forming relationships that are rooted in Him,...
Evidence That Our First Love for Jesus Is Waning
One of the clearest indicators that our love for Jesus has begun to fade is when our relationship with Him shifts from a passion to be with Him and for Him to merely working for Him and seeking His approval. Instead of devotion flowing from intimacy, it becomes driven...
What True Rest Really Is
True rest in Christ is not the absence of activity; it is the presence of alignment with Him. Rest is discovered and experienced as we develop spiritual ears to hear His voice and follow His lead, rather than striving to manage life in our own strength. Jesus never...
The Truth About Our Gifting
When we live surrendered to the Lord as His sons and daughters, the gifts He has placed within us become a blessing. They serve His purpose, strengthen His people, and bring glory to His name. But when we operate outside of surrender—when our identity as sons and...
The Fruit of Genuine Surrender
When a heart truly surrenders to Christ, something powerful happens: The unconditional love Jesus baptizes His sons and daughters with becomes a river of the Holy Spirit’s power flowing through them to others—love poured out freely, with no demand that it be returned....
When Our Will Finally Aligns
To love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength requires each of us to face the temptation of self-will — the desire to do what we want to do. Yet the journey of spiritual maturity often looks like this: we continue in our own way, stumbling, getting up...
Good Things or God Things?
Remain focused today on who you are in Christ. As His son and daughter, you are powerful and become His platform to fulfill His Will and mission. Remember, Jesus desires His unconditional love to be returned to Him with passion. He wants honeymoon with His Bride,...
