Day 9: Our Value l 8.10.2026

Aug 10, 2026

Today's Scripture

Luke 12:5 (NKJV)

Luke 12:7 (NKJV)

1 Corinthians 6:20 (NKJV)

We must fear God out of love, not love Him out of fear.

Jesus gives us a powerful balance. He tells us to fear God, but then immediately says, “Do not fear… you are valuable to Him.” In other words, holy fear is not about running from God—it is about drawing close to the One who is holy, loving, and worthy of our full surrender.

Unholy fear makes us hide. Holy fear makes us trust. Jesus said even the hairs of our head are numbered. That means God is not distant, distracted, or unaware. He is deeply attentive. He knows us personally, and He values us completely.

The world measures value by performance, status, money, appearance, or usefulness. But God measures our value by the price He was willing to pay. Scripture says we were bought with a price—and that price was His own body, His own blood, His own life. That means our worth is not up for debate.

If God gave Himself for us, then we must stop letting people, pain, rejection, or failure define our value. We belong to Jesus. We are loved by Jesus. We are valued by Jesus. And if He values us that deeply, then holy fear teaches us to protect that relationship. It keeps our hearts close, surrendered, and obedient—not because we are terrified of Him, but because we love Him and do not want anything to pull us away from Him.

Today's Prayer

Jesus, thank You for loving us with a value we could never earn. Thank You for giving Your body and Life, and for taking our place. Fill us with Your Spirit and fire so we can begin to understand how deeply we are loved. Let holy fear draw us closer to You and teach us to value others the way You value us. In Your name, Jesus, Amen.

Today's Activation

Holy fear reminds us that the God who is worthy of reverence is also the Father who deeply values us. Lord, with Your empowering presence and voice, I will live close to You in holy fear, and I will love and value others the way You love and value them.
