“‘a man against his father,

    a daughter against her mother,

a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—

36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’ 

37 “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.

CULTURE = Victory is worth dying for!

Three Categories of “Church” people:

  1. People who want to fight and are willing to do whatever is necessary to win.
  2. People who want to fight, but don’t know how to fight. “Teach me!”
  3. People who won’t fight; They’ve agreed with the enemy!
    1. They have given up they don’t believe they can win.
    2.  Those not willing to lose their life. “It’s not worth it.” 
    3. The intellectual/religious group: “I know what the solution is!”

 WE ARE BUILDING CULTURE EVERY TIME WE GATHER TOGETHER; THE QUESTION IS WHAT KIND OF CULTURE!

The Problem & Solution for the Church 

Revelation 3:15-22 (NLT)

I Need YOU CULTURE: 

  1. I need you attitude: when we gather for worship
  2. I need you attitude: EQUIP me to fight the battle inside me
  3. I need you attitude: when we gather in small groups

Last week we talked about the Clash between the Culture we know and the one God is calling us into. This culture could be called ‘Kingdom Culture’. The culture that results from seeing ourselves, relationships and situations the way God does and living according to that truth.

I’m going to describe somethings that are true about you. As you listen to that description, take note of how your heart and mind respond. What is your level of agreement and expectation that it is true?

(Create list of descriptions of Gifts & Fruit, describe them how they are powerfully expressed)

Fruit that Exists… Now Future   Gifts that Operate… Now Future
Love       Word of Knowledge    
Joy       Word of Wisdom    
Peace            
             
Son’s & Daughters that inherit His kingdom       Kings & Priests that represent God & operate in authority    

 

Question: In the FUTURE category, do you have 10’s in every Fruit, Gift or Identity? Why not?

The problem: We don’t know, nor do we believe what God believes!

First, we must recognize my belief system is the problem!

Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV)

Now faith is the substance (realization) of things hoped for, the evidence (God-fidence) of things not seen.

Just because I believe something doesn’t mean it’s faith. What is faith? God is asking us to walk by faith, but what is that? If we are taught something from the bible, is it faith to walk in that no matter what comes? Is it sticking to my belief about God even if it’s wrong?

Hebrews 11:6 (NLT)

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
