Part 1: Taking Action With God
Taking Action with God
Date: 03 January 2021
Speaker: Duane Lowe
Testimonies encourage us to believe the Word of God again. Testimonies is what we do!
(AMP) Philippians 3:13-15
As our brain and heart are being formed in our mother’s womb, our heart is receiving information and our mind is recording everything as it forms. If our mother is in a state of stress, that stress is being transferred to the baby. Babies are born in states of stress and anxiety.
As we go through life, this happens to all of us over and over again. You’re recording and packing things away in our mind and heart that are there for the sole reason of holding us in our past so that we can’t go forward.
- Jesus addresses this to those who wanted to follow Him but saying things like, “if you put your hands to plow and look back, you’re not fit…”
How do we develop a mindset that has no regrets about the past and no anxieties for the future?
- When we experience the reason for the Cross of Christ, we are released from or past and filled with expectation for the future. How? In the Spirit, we live in the moment focused on our Father’s business!
When God speaks to us, He’s not talking to us so we can sit down and think about for the rest of our life. He’s speaking to us to inspire and empower us to “move forward” with Him.
- Living in “Truth” means we’re moving with God or it’s a waste of the time God has given to us as stewards.
For God to act or move in my life requires Him go back into my past and release me.
(AMP) Romans 8:1
The things that equal “wrong / sin” in our lives become our greatest weapon as we take action with and follow the lead of the Holy Spirit.
We are freed to look at our past without fear!
Just because I’m forgiven does not “move” me to follow Jesus. The reason there is no condemnation to those who in Christ Jesus is because every evil act and sinful deed done in our past becomes our great strength and weapon we have as we carry this “Good News.”
- This is mind blowing! It’s almost weird!
- This is all over the Bible in stories and cultures of how this happens to people over and over again.
(NLT) Ephesians 2:13
When we realize that our past wasn’t our fault but rather a ploy; Satan’s propaganda to manipulate and control us so that we would miss “The Truth” that frees us to be powerful children of God that “Take Action with Him” as He builds and demonstrates His Kingdom in this earth.
- God loves making bad things great! He doesn’t reform us; He transforms us, and this (in the moment) transforming experience propels us into our future.
- What God does with our past regrets, makes us want to go back into all our past regrets with Jesus and make them the weapon He intended they become for us.
God’s plan and reality at our level and quantum physics is all one reality.
- God is revealing Himself to us all around us in His creation. Anyone who pauses long enough to stop listening to all the lies and voices in our world will hear Him and see Him.
Anytime the enemy comes from the front, you can always see him coming. When he comes from the back (the past) he can conceal himself and hide.
- This is how relationships fall apart. Marriages end up on the rocks… Why? Because we can’t see Satan work and he tricks us into thinking it’s our spouse. It must be them; I can’t see anything else but them.
- Resisting this kind of attack requires “Taking Action with the Holy Spirit.”
Taking action with God means that He’s finished His part and now He’s waiting on us to join with Him and finish our part! On the Cross He had finished His part and our part was only beginning.
- Oh, by the way, when we’re serving Jesus and one another, collectively we all have our individual portion to finish. Why? You’re gifted in a way that I’m not gifted and that’s okay!
- It’s God’s plan for us to see the value in one another as He see value and significance in us.
