The Promised Land was a place that was to be a home for the children of Israel. It was described in the verbiage of Blessings, a land flowing with milk and honey. A land with vineyards and orchards you didn’t plant, with pasture for sheep and houses already built. Interestingly, the blessings were based on a commitment to engage fully in a covenant relationship with God. It wasn’t an automatic blessing that would always be part of their lives if they didn’t love and follow God’s desire for them. They would have to learn how to walk in the relationship and steward the life of Blessings.
