Part 2: Choose Joy

Date: 28 April 2019

Speaker: Senior Leader Duane Lowe

If you’re looking for a different result in your life and relationships, SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE!

Matthew 3:2 (NKJV)

Jesus is revealing a truth about what everyone was looking for and hoping for. To get to where we’re supposed to go, it requires a CHANGE in how we THINK about WHAT we THINK about.

There will always be a level of tension around us that will cause us to take life and things around us personal when we trust in knowledge. However, when we allow Him to come to us, peace and joy will always be the fruit even when trouble surrounds us.

A word from Heaven for every generation: Nehemiah 8:10 (NIV)

Three truths about the Joy of the Lord and where it comes from. Regardless of how bad your situation is, it’s important that you:

  1. Know God has a plan for our lives. Psalm 16:5-11 (NIV)
  2. Are certain that God will work it out. 1 Peter 1:8 (NIV)
  3. Choose joy. Philippians 4:4 (NIV)

It’s time to choose joy! Deuteronomy 30:11-19 (MSG)

Three things we can do and practice, as Paul practiced, to get the Joy of the Lord:

  1. Choose to look beyond what happened. Philippians 1:12 (NIV)
  2. Choose to find the new opportunities. Philippians 1:13-14 (NIV)
  3. Choose to focus on what really matters. Philippians 1:15-18 (NIV)

Today I choose joy.

Part 3: How do you know God is first?

Date: 05 May 2019
Speaker: Senior Leader Duane Lowe

Matthew 3:2 (NKJV)

Because there is a need for MORE of GOD in our LIVES, change is paramount.

Does God have RIGHT to all the AREAS of your LIFE that verify His Kingship in your life? Until He has all our heart and every area of our lives, He can’t do His best work in and through us.

Romans 13:11-14 (MSG)

Four Things that need to change in order for God to be front and center in our lives:

  1. For God to be front and center in our lives, my schedule may need to change. Ecclesiastes 4:6 (NIV); Jeremiah 6:16 (NIV)

If you’re not used to prioritizing God first, start with 15 minutes every day:

  • 5 minutes worship
  • 5 minutes of listening to God’s voice and word
  • 5 minutes of prayer, prophecy, declarations, thanksgiving and request
  1. For God to be front and center in our lives, I may need to change what I allow to enter my mind and body. 1 Corinthians 10:23 (NIV); Psalm 141:4 (NLT)
  2. As a mentor, for God to be front and center in our lives, I may need to change how I organize my finances around give, save, live. Matthew 6:21 (NIV); Proverbs 3:9 (MSG )
  3. For God to be front and center in our lives, change everything necessary to live my life intentionally. Proverbs 20:4 (NIV); Psalm 90:12 (TLB)

The Four Things that need to change in order for God to be front and center in our lives will not change until 3 key things happen:

  1. I must agree with my identity to fulfill my purpose. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
  2. I must follow His plan. Proverbs 17:24 (GNT)
  3. I must have accountability. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NLT)

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said: “Faith is taking a step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”
