Day 10: God Sees the Heart 8.11.2026

Aug 11, 2026

Today's Scripture

Psalm 10:11 (NLT)

Isaiah 29:13 (NLT)

Revelation 2:23 (NLT)

Holy fear keeps us aware that Jesus sees beyond our actions into our motives, and He searches our hearts to purify us, not to push us away.

One of the greatest dangers in our culture is losing awareness of God’s greatness. We are surrounded by voices that celebrate image, success, entertainment, and personal opinion while quietly pushing God to the background. If we are not careful, our hearts can begin to think, “God probably doesn’t notice this part of my life.” But Scripture confronts that lie. God is not distant. He is not distracted. He is not fooled by appearances.

Ananias and Sapphira did not simply have a money issue; they had a heart issue. They wanted to look fully surrendered while secretly holding something back. They wanted the reputation of sacrifice without the reality of obedience. And that is where holy fear brings us back to truth. God sees more than our actions. He sees motives, thoughts, intentions, compromises, pride, insecurity, jealousy, and every hidden agreement we try to justify. Nothing is hidden from Him.

But He does not reveal our hearts to destroy us. He reveals our hearts to heal us, purify us, and bring us closer. Holy fear is not terror that makes us run from God. It is reverence that keeps us close to Him. It teaches us to love truth more than appearance, intimacy more than recognition, and obedience more than reputation.

God does not just watch what we do—

He searches the heart so He can purify what we carry.

Today's Prayer

Jesus, awaken in us a greater awareness of Your holiness and presence. Remove every lie that says You do not see, care, or notice the condition of our hearts. Purify our motives, thoughts, words, and actions. Teach us to walk in holy fear so we remain close to You and sensitive to Your Spirit. In Your name, Jesus,

Today's Activation

Jesus does not just watch what we do—He searches the heart so He can purify what we carry. Today, ask Jesus to search your heart, then surrender one hidden motive, compromise, or distraction that has been pulling your focus away from His Holy Spirit as He leads.
