Today's Scripture
Matthew 6:26, 28 (NKJV)
True fruitfulness begins when we stop striving to prove our value and simply stay connected to Jesus.
Jesus points us to birds and flowers to teach us something our culture often forgets – life with God is not built on striving, proving, or performing. Birds do not wake up trying to prove their value. Flowers do not stress over whether they are useful enough. They simply live the way God designed them to live. And in simply being what God created them to be, they fulfill their purpose.
Many times, we block the flow of God’s influence in our lives because we become overly focused on ourselves—our growth, our consistency, our usefulness, our impact, or how spiritual we appear. But Jesus is calling us back to something deeper: connection. He is saying, “Stay close to Me. Trust My leading. Let My life flow through you.”
Spiritual growth does not come from constant self-analysis. It comes from abiding. When we keep our attention on Jesus, His life begins to shape us naturally. Peace grows. Humility grows. Wisdom grows. Fruit grows. The people who often impact us the most are not the loudest or the most impressive. They are the steady ones—the people who quietly walk with God, carry peace, live honestly, and remain connected to Jesus.
If we want our lives to matter for Jesus, we must focus more on our relationship with Him than our performance for Him. When we stay connected to the Source, His Life and His Spirit flow through us in ways we may never fully realize.
Today's Prayer
Jesus, free us from striving, proving, and performing. Teach us to rest in who we are as Your sons and daughters. Keep our hearts connected to You as Your manifested children so Your life can flow through us naturally. Let our lives carry peace, humility, and fruit that glorifies You. In Your name, Jesus, Amen.
Today's Activation
Today, pause and ask, “Am I trying to prove my value, or am I staying connected to Jesus?” Then choose to abide in the present moment with the Holy Spirit, slow down, and trust Him. Simply focus on abiding in Him.
