Statement of Faith

This Church accepts the Bible as the revealed will of God, the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice, and for the purpose of maintaining general unity of statements of faith.

God

There is only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator and Redeemer of all that is. He is perfectly holy, just, loving and truthful. He has revealed Himself to be eternally self-existent – One God that we experience as: Father, Son, Holy Spirit to humanity. God as Father in creation of all that is, Son as the person of God in Christ, and the Holy Spirit as the manifestation of His presence on the earth. (Isaiah 43:10-11; Eph. 4:5-7; Eph. 2:16; I John 5:7; Isaiah 9:6; 1 Timothy 2:5; 1 Timothy 3:16; Revelation 4)

Jesus Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of Mary a virgin, and is God’s Anointed One, empowered by the Holy Spirit to reintroduced God’s kingdom on earth. He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected and ascended into heaven, and is now alive today in the heart of His people. He is “true God” and “true man.” (John 1:1,14, 20:28; I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; 1 Timothy 2:5).

God’s Word:

Scripture

The Holy Bible is the authoritative written voice of God in book form. In its original writing, it is Holy Spirit inspired, infallible and inerrant. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26)

The Voice of God

God designed everyone to hear His voice and empowered us through His Spirit to follow Him. When we are filled with the Spirit, we become the sons and daughters He designed us to be. This means we have access to Him daily so that we grow and develop in our identity and spiritual gifts with confidence through the process of hearing and following. (Ephesians 1:17-18; John 1:12-13; John 8:31-32)

Jesus’ Sacrifice

The Bible’s greatest truth is that when Jesus Christ died on the cross all our sins were transferred to Him, and as we put our faith and trust in Him we are forgiven — freely and fully. Christ took all our sins upon Himself, and He endured the judgment we deserved. The Bible says, “God made you alive with Christ.”  (I John 1:7; Revelation 1:5, 5:9; Colossians 2:13; 2 Corinthians 5:21).

Salvation

We are restored back into relationship by God’s grace, through faith in the work of Jesus Christ. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God by repenting, believing and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Receiving Jesus includes Him baptizing us with His Holy Spirit and fire, which convicts, regenerates, justifies, and adopts us as we enter God’s Kingdom as His sons and daughters. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16, 3:8; Titus 3:5; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31; Acts 2:37-39; Hebrews 9:22).

Holy Spirit Baptism

God’s Spirit is our helper, teacher, and comforter. Choosing to receive His Spirit connects us back to God so we can live life the way God originally designed.  The Holy Spirit enables us to know God’s character and power. His presence in our lives empowers us to live our lives according to God’s will. (Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 3:11; Mark 16:16-17; Acts 1:5, 8, 2:1-4, 17, 37-39, 8:14-17, 10:38, 44-47, 11:15-17, 19:1-6)

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit

When we are filled with the Spirit, we become the sons and daughters He designed us to be. The Holy Spirit is manifested in us through a variety of spiritual gifts to build, edify and sanctify the church, demonstrate the validity of the resurrection, and confirm the power of the Gospel. The Bible lists of these gifts are not necessarily exhaustive, and the gifts may occur in various combinations. All believers are commanded to earnestly desire the manifestation of the gifts in their lives. These gifts always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and should never be used in violation of Biblical parameters. (Hebrews 2:4; Romans 1:11, 12:4-8; Ephesians 4:16; I Timothy 4:14; II Timothy 1:6-7; I Corinthians 12:1-31, 14:1-40; I Peter 4:10)

Repentance

Repentance is when we choose to follow God’s voice and agree with Him to change the way we think. This is the first step and “How” we “Receive” His redeeming Grace and become regenerated by His Holy Spirit baptism. (Acts 2:21,37-39, 3:19; I John 1:9).

Redemption

The victorious work of Christ on the cross provides restoration to your designed identity, the relationship of being  one with God and freedom from the power of the enemy–sin, lies, sickness and torment. (Gen. 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21).

Jesus Christ Indwells All Believers

Christians are people who have willingly invited Jesus Christ to baptism them with His Spirit and fire. They relinquish all authority of their lives over to Him to be Lord and Savior of their life. They put their trust in what He accomplished for them when He died, was buried, and rose again from the dead. (John 1:12; John 14:17, 23; John 15:4; Acts 1:8; 2:37-39; Romans 8:11; Revelation 3:20)

The Church

The Church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. The Church hears His voice and follows Him. He gave His church the ordinances of baptism and communion. The Church exists to carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ and further manifest His kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy; preaching and living the good news of His love; discipling the nations; baptizing and teaching them to love and obey God in the ever-increasing government of God and in the glorious visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ for His overcoming bride – His church. (Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23; John 17:11, 20-23)

Two Ordinances for Believers

Water Baptism

Baptism, is the outward sign of what God has already done in the individual’s life and is a testimony to all that the person now belongs to Jesus. It is identification with Jesus. The disciples obey the command of Jesus to baptize in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit by administering baptism in Jesus’ name. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Acts 4:12; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12, 36-39; 9:1-6; 10:47-48; Colossians 3:17).

Communion

The Communion is a commemoration of the death of the Lord and is done in remembrance of Him until He comes again; it is a sign of our participation in Him. Taking communion is so much more than a ritual, but instead is a time to reflect on what Jesus did for us on the cross as The Passover Lamb” and the precious relationship we now have because of it. (Matthew 26:26-29; I Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25)

Healing of the Sick

The heart and will of God is to heal. Healing of the sick is illustrated in the life and ministry of Jesus and included in the commission of Jesus to His disciples. Jesus said he only did what he saw his Father do and said what His Father said – and He healed the sick. He said that we would do even greater than this if we followed His example. This is the right and responsibility of everyone called a believer. It is also a part of Jesus’ work on the Cross and one of the gifts of the Spirit. (Matthew 10:8; Psalm 103:2-3; Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:17-18; Acts 8:6-7; James 5:14-16; I Corinthians 12:9, 28; Romans 11:29)

God’s Will for Provision

It is the Father’s will for believers to become whole, healthy, and successful in all areas of life. We connect to Him, hear what He has to say, and share that “Life” with the world around us. God has given us the inheritance of being His sons and daughters. It’s not our good deeds that give us the right to have His provision – He’s already given it.

God’s provision includes:

  • Spiritual (John 3:3-11; II Corinthians 5:17-21; Acts 2:37-39; Acts 19:1-6)
  • Mental and Emotional (II Timothy 1:7, 2:11; Philippians 4:7-8; Romans 12:2; Isaiah 26:3)
  • Physical (Isaiah 53:4,5; Matthew 8:17; I Peter 2:24)
  • Financial (Joshua 1:8; Malachi 3:10-11; Luke 6:38; II Corinthians 9:6-10; Deuteronomy 28:1-14; Psalm 34:10, 84:11; Philippians 4:19)

Heaven

Heaven is the eternal dwelling place for all believers who believe and carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Because of the access God has given us as sons and daughters, we have the invitation and right to experience heaven now through the Holy Spirit and after we pass from this present physical life. The Kingdom of God is at hand – it is in us and around us. (Mark 1:15, Matthew 5:3, 12, 20, 6:20, 19:21, 25:34; John 17:24; II Corinthians 5:1; Hebrews 11:16; I Peter 1:4)

The Lake of Fire and Hell

While the spirits of those regenerated by God’s Holy Spirit will abide forever with God in a perfected state, the opposite is true of those in hell and are cast into the lake of fire. Those who are deceived by Satan are imprisoned in the kingdom of hell and potentially will be cast into the lake of fire if they refuse to obey the gospel during their life on earth. They will forever lose their chance to seeing God’s face, hearing His voice again, experiencing His forgiveness, or enjoying His fellowship. To be forever separated from God is the ultimate punishment. (Matthew 25:41; Mark 9:43-48; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 14:9-11, 20:12-15, 21:8).

Second Coming

Since Jesus sacrifice on the cross, it has been His sole objective to establish His Kingdom in the lives of all His saints. This will occur at a date undisclosed in the Scriptures and in a way that Jesus clearly said no one would ever know beforehand. Until such time, we are to occupy until He comes; seek first the Kingdom of God and all His righteousness. (Matthew 24:30, 26:63-64; Acts 1:6-7, 9-11; I Thessalonians 4:14-17; II Thessalonians 1:7-8; Revelation 1:7)

Statement of Marriage

We believe marriage is defined in the Bible as a covenant, a sacred bond between one man and one woman instituted by and publicly entered into before God (“biblical definition of marriage”). Because of the longstanding importance of the biblical definition of marriage to humans and their relationships and communities, and, most importantly, the fact that God has ordained that marriage be between one man and one woman, as clearly conveyed in God’s inerrant Scriptures, including for example in Matthew 19:4-6 where in speaking about marriage Jesus referred to the fact that “he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,” the Church hereby creates this policy, which shall be known as the “Marriage Policy.”

Church’s Marriage Policy: the biblical definition of Marriage is the only definition of marriage that will be recognized or accepted. The Church has the discretion to accept or refuse performing marriage ceremony to any couple. No elder, officer, employee, servant, agent, or any person, corporation, organization, or entity under the direction or control of this Church shall commit any act or omission, or make any decision whatever, that would be inconsistent with, or that could be perceived by any person to be inconsistent with, full support of this Church’s Marriage Policy and strict adherence to the biblical definition of marriage as well as the discretion of the Church. This Church specifically prohibits acts or omissions including but not limited to permitting any Church assets or property, whether real property, personal property, intangible property, or any property or asset of any kind that is subject to the direction or control of the Church, to be used in any manner that would be or could be perceived by any person to be inconsistent with this Church’s Marriage Policy, including but not limited to permitting any church facilities to be used by any person, organization, corporation, or group that would or might use such facilities to convey, intentionally or by implication, what might be perceived as a favorable impression about any definition of marriage other than the biblical definition of marriage.

We believe this Church’s Marriage Policy is based upon God’s will for human life as conveyed to us through the Holy Scriptures, upon which this Church has been founded and anchored, and shall not be subject to change through popular vote; referendum; prevailing opinion of members or the general public; influence of or interpretation by any government authority, agency, or official action; or legal developments on the local, state, or federal level.

Cultures

Family
Heavens Government is relational; a family made up of sons and daughters. We don’t relate through power or position, but through relationship because we are family in Christ.
Goodness of God
God is good regardless of our circumstances and, by nature He is in a good mood. He loves to pour out blessing and favor. His heart is loving kindness, and He is eager to show it!
Joy and Hope
Joy and hope are the fruit of good beliefs. Biblical joy creates strength, health & longevity. Our hope level determines our influence level.
Honor
Honor is seeing each other from Heaven’s perspective and interacting in the light of that truth. Honor is the foundation of healthy relationships.
Valuing His Presence
God has designed us to live within His presence, constantly aware and continually experiencing Him in every aspect of life.
Risk and Faith

Without faith, it’s impossible to please God, and the mystery of faith often looks like taking risk when we trust what God is saying. With what appears to be risk, promotes growth. Because we're under authority, we have authority.

Prophetic
The prophetic ministry reveals the heart of God, whether the present or the future. It invites us to respond and live life in the light of this fresh prophetic revelation. It strengthens, encourages, and comforts the body of Christ as we're lead by the Holy Spirit.
Grace and Empowerment
Grace is God's favor towards us based on who He created us to be, not on what we have done. Our agreement with grace is empowering, both us and those around us. Grace is the unearned kindness of God.
Generosity
Generosity comes from overflow; as we realize God gives us all things abundantly, we release our prosperity to give it away to those in need.
Releasing the Supernatural
The Book of Acts is the normal Christian life. Jesus promised signs would follow believers, and we would do even greater works than He. We are called and equipped to release the supernatural through us to others.
Salvation and Righteousness
Our salvation and righteousness are a gift of grace not just to us, but for us. We’ve been freely given all that we need to be kings, priest and friends of God.
Revelation and the Word
God speaks to us directly. He also speaks through scripture and even other people. Agreeing with Him is what transforms us into who we truly are; this is the relationship He is asking us to step into. Nothing is more important than following His voice.
