“Transformed” comes from the greek word “metamorphoo”, from which we get the word, “metamorphosis”

Same word used to describe the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly.

(in an insect or amphibian) the process of transformation from an immature form to an adult form in two or more distinct stages.
