- THE MARTHA SYNDROME! Martha’s reaction indicates Mary was intentionally ignoring her and Martha needed this fixed asap. Her battery was losing power quickly.
- Key Religious Syndrome: Martha believed that her method of service more than sufficiently hosted Jesus’ presence and would facilitate her receiving the blessing. Surely Mary knew this and if not, she needed fixing.
Cain and Abel
- Abel: Made the conscious decision to follow God a little more precisely than Cain did. Abel’s choice bore the fruit of blessing. Cain could have had the same blessing by simply paying attention to God.
- CAIN: WANTED TO HAVE IT HIS WAY AND HAVE THE BLESSING TOO!

One of Israel’s queens operated out of a need for control and her influence in Israel was a direct result of manipulation. God notes His love and patience for her. Giving her multiple opportunities to repent and follow His lead… The spirit she entertained was so influential and powerful that it actually cause Israel’s greatest prophet to fear, tremble and ultimately to run and hide, complaining, sulking and belly aching to God. This is where many of God’s powerful men and women are now. Hiding and intimidated with the manipulation and control of our present culture and church world.
- Teachable children who are like sponges for the Spirit will address every lie.
- The dark spirit that tormented Jezebel is still at work, attempting to manipulate and control all of our lives. Often, the relationships we’re presently in are impacted by both parties under the influence of its lie.
Jesus addressed this in everyone of His disciples and He’s addressing it in all of us.
