Student LifeChangers

Being a part of the Student LifeChangers is about being a part of a student team designed to help you build character, learn how to be a LifeChanger, and what it means to serve Christ through serving your peers and others. Our hope is that you will learn to spend time in prayer daily and attend Christ-centered meetings focused on helping you grow. This student team welcomes any student 6th grade through 12th grade who is willing to commit and follow through with the growth track journey and commitments of a Student LifeChanger.

Here are some areas where your role will be vital:

  1. Setting an example for your peers during all Student LifeChanger activities
  2. Serving LifeChangers at our church
  3. Helping others outside of our church

Our goal is to train you how to live a life for Christ and how to impact others for Him. You will grow through monthly group study, personal Bible reading, and prayer. Discussions, memory verses, ministry teams, and awesome monthly Thursday night meetings are a few things that you can look forward to!!!

It sounds like a lot of work!! Well, that’s because it is! It takes desire and commitment to be a Student LifeChanger. If you have these two things, you will learn, grow and change over the next year. If this sounds like something you are willing to commit to, please do the following:

  1. Read over the “SLC Serving Standards”
  2. Pray about it and discuss it with your parents.
  3. Have a Christian adult (other than your family) fill out and return the Reference Form within a two-weeks of your SLC application.

Thank you for considering being a part of our Student LifeChanger (SLC) team: SLC Serve Team! It is important, however, that you realize that being an effective member of this team takes more than just having interest. It will require self-discipline and commitment. Read the following information carefully about what will be required of you to be a member of the SLC Serve team!

Student LifeChanger Serving Standards
  • You must be on your journey to be a Christian living a Christian lifestyle.
  • You need to be TEACHABLE—willing to learn and make changes in your own personal life. You need to be able to be confronted and encouraged by God and other Christians.
  • We will be learning the qualities of a great leader. We ask that you be willing to incorporate these qualities into your life.
  • Our hope is that you would be an example of conduct and character that honors God and others (this includes your conduct and language online), showing respect to your peers, and all authority figures.
  • We ask that you be committed to attend all Student LifeChanger programs and Serve Team gatherings (huddles, meetings, CONNECT, Fish Camp, monthly activities, etc.) and the scheduled serve days. If you’re not serving, our hope is that you sit in service.
  • We ask that you be willing and open to learning what it looks like to have a healthy relationship with God (prayer, scripture, and hearing.)
  • We ask that you commit to at least one year.
  • We ask that you be willing to serve with heart and commitment without complaining.
  • We ask that you be willing to serve in any way possible. Your role will require you to serve behind the scenes at the real core of ministry. You will work closely with the staff on all events and student group activities.
