Have you ever wondered ‘why’ Jesus died on the Cross?  

He died so that we could have LIFE. That life is expressed as the Kingdom of God – Righteousness, Peace & Joy – being experienced NOW! 

Sin Definition: hamartía – noun derived from “not”, and “a part, share of”  (“no part of”)

• “Without” might be the closest single word to describe the definition.
• Think of it like the number 0. Zero is like a placeholder for a number that has value; either Negative or Positive

In the same way, there is a place in you (spirit, soul, body) that was designed to be filled with God. So thanks to Adam, let’s not forget Eve’s contribution, we are born missing something. Or you could say we are born with a hole is us that is known as ‘sin’. We can’t do anything that is true or life without God stepping into that hole. Unfortunately for us, just like the Zero is a place holder that can be replaced by a -1, our hole is a placeholder that can hold a NEGITIVE spirit.

We have to stop focusing on ‘What to do’ and ‘Where to go. Recognize there are so many things God wants us to see and hear. Most of it falls in the 4 categories of what God believes about:

• Himself
• You
• Me
• The situations I find myself in

One of the biggest reasons we struggled with sin (verb), is we have seriously jacked up thinking. We need help.

We need to walk with people who are real with God, themselves and us. 

Find people who can mentor us in growing. Growing personally. Growing spiritually. Growing relationally. The more we grow in our God created identity the les we will struggle with sin (verb).

When we have Jesus – Baptized in His Name, Filled with His Spirit – we can hear, follow and speak what He is saying. Others have the opportunity to hear and experience Jesus’ life when we do.

Conversely, if someone doesn’t have the empty space filled, they can’t. They can only speak from what takes up that space designed for God. They will speak death; they will speak lies and not even recognize where it comes from.
